COBLESKILL’S FRANCOIS NAMED REGION III MALE-ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

Freshman Stanley Francois, Valley Cottage, NY, Suffern High School, a member of SUNY Cobleskill’s the men’s basketball team, has been named the NJCAA Region III Male Athlete-of-the-Week by the region’s service bureau.

The 6’2” forward averaged 15.0 points, 19.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game in the team's victories over Broome Community College and Hudson Valley Community College during the week highlighted by a 26 point/20 rebound effort versus Hudson Valley. On the season Francois is currently averaging 13.3 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 64.9% from the floor connecting on 61 of 94 field goal attempts.

Led by the Suffern High School alumnus the Fighting Tigers are currently 10-2 on the season and currently tied for first place in the Mountain Valley Conference with a perfect 4-0 league record.
