FIGHTING TIGER WEEKLY RECAP 11/26/07

The Fighting Tiger men’s basketball team defeated Mountain Valley Conference rival Columbia-Greene Community College on Tuesday in Hudson, NY by a 77-41 margin. Freshman swingman Zaire Thomas, Ossining, NY, Ossining High School, led the way for Cobleskill with career highs of 14 points and three rebounds in the victory. Cobleskill is currently ranked fourth in the latest NJCAA Division III National Poll with a 7-0 overall record including a 2-0 mark versus MVC opponents.

The Cobleskill women’s program improved to 7-0 overall on the season by posting a 50-37 road victory over nationally ranked number fifteen Holyoke Community College on the Cougars home court in Holyoke, MA on Tuesday. Freshman forward Sharee Daniels, Poughkeepsie, NY, F.D. Roosevelt High School, had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Fighting Tigers who are currently ranked fifth in the latest NJCAA Division III National Poll.
