FIGHTING TIGER BASEBALL SWEPT BY SUSSEX 4-1 & 12-10

The SUNY Cobleskill baseball team dropped a hard fought doubleheader versus NJCAA Division II program Sussex Community College from Newton, NJ yesterday in Port Charlotte, FL by scores of 4-1 and 12-10. The losses drop the Fighting Tigers to 3-4 overall on the season to date.

Freshman Matt Greene, Albany, NY, Colonie High School, turned in a big offensive performance for the Fighting Tigers going six-for-eight on the afternoon on the day including three RBI in the second game. Senior Tristan Massalay-Ellis, Flushing, NY, John Bowne High School, also chipped in two hits in the nightcap including a triple.

Cobleskill will close out their spring trip on Friday March 14th when they take on the Spartans of Minnesota State Community & Technical College from Fergus Falls, MN beginning at 1:00 PM.
