FIGHTING TIGER MEN DROP 81-80 ROAD DECISION TO FINGER LAKES IN OT
The SUNY Cobleskill men’s basketball team suffered their first defeat of the season dropping an 81-80 road decision to defending NJCAA Region III Division III Finger Lakes Community College on the Lakers home court in Canandaigua, NY last night. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 1-1 on the year.
Freshman forward Anthony Armstead, Schenectady, NY, Schenectady High School, hit a 10-foot jumper with 1.4 seconds remaining in regulation to send the contest into the extra stanza. Armstead finished the evening with 26 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots in the game. Freshman forward Stanley Francois, Valley Cottage, NY, Suffern High School, posted his second consecutive double/double with 17 points and 10 rebounds while freshman guard Jason Taylor, Deer Park, NY, Ossining High School, notched 12 points on the evening for Cobleskill.
The Fighting Tigers continue their four game road swing on Thursday November 9th when they travel to Auburn, NY to meet the Spartans of Cayuga Community College beginning at 7:00 PM. |
