THOMAS NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that freshman Zaire Thomas, Ossining, NY, Ossining High School, a member of the men’s basketball team has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

The 6’0” swingman posted career highs of 14 points and three rebounds as the Fighting Tigers defeated Mountain Valley Conference rival Columbia-Greene Community College on Tuesday on the Cougars home court in Hudson, NY by a 77-41 margin. Cobleskill is currently ranked fourth in the latest NJCAA Division III National Poll with a 7-0 overall record including a 2-0 mark versus MVC opponents.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Tuesday November 27th when they travel to Binghamton, NY, to meet the Hornets of Broome Community College as part of a basketball doubleheader with the Cobleskill and Hornet women taking the court at 6:00 PM followed by the college’s men’s teams tipping off at 8:00 PM.
