FIGHTING TIGER MEN DROP 89-75 ROAD DECISION TO HUDSON VALLEY
In a battle of nationally ranked programs, the SUNY Cobleskill men’s basketball team dropped an 89-75 decision to the NJCAA’s number one ranked Division III program Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY last night in Mountain Valley Conference action. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 7-2 overall on the season with a 2-1 mark versus league opponents. Cobleskill had entered the contest ranked third in the current NJCAA Division III National Poll.
Senior forward Stanley Francois, Suffern, NY, Suffern High School, posted a double/double with 10 points and 11 rebounds on the evening while senior point guard Harley Fuller, Gloversville, NY, Broadalbin-Perth High School, also scored 10 points to go with nine assists on the night. Freshman swingman Brennan McCarthy, Cobleskill, NY, Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, was also active off the bench posting a career high of nine points in the contest.
The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Monday December 3rd when they host the Springfield College Junior Varsity with tip-off at 7:00 PM.
