FIGHTING TIGER MEN DROP 60-57 ROAD DECISION TO MVCC

The SUNY Cobleskill men’s basketball team dropped a 60-57 Mountain Valley Conference road decision to Mohawk Valley Community College last night in Utica, NY in the team’s final regular season contest. The Fighting Tigers close the regular season with a 21-7 overall record with an 11-5 mark in conference play.

Cobleskill will now await its seed in the NJCAA Region III Division III Tournament which will be announced Sunday evening February 25th. The tournament’s opening round is tentatively scheduled to begin on Tuesday February 27th at the higher seeded team’s home court with the tournament’s quarterfinal round thru championship game being played at Herkimer Community College in Herkimer, NY from Friday March 2nd thru Sunday March 4th.

Freshman forward Stanley Francois, Valley Cottage, NY, Suffern High School, scored 17 points to go with 16 rebounds while senior swingman Devon Moore, Brooklyn, NY, Family Academy High School, added 14 points and freshman guard Jayson Taylor, Deer Park, NY, Ossining High School, chipped in 11 points on the evening for the Fighting Tigers.
