ARMSTEAD NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE WEEK

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that senior Anthony Armstead, Schenectady, NY, Schenectady High School, a member of the men’s basketball team has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

The 6’5” power forward had an impressive week averaging 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game as the Fighting Tigers posted three Mountain Valley Conference victories this week defeating visiting Mohawk Valley Community College on Tuesday by a 96-82 score, then by posting a home win over Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Thursday by score of 94-82 before taking to the road on Saturday to defeat Adirondack Community College in Queensbury, NY 86-68.

Cobleskill is currently 20-3 overall on the season with a 10-2 mark versus Mountain Valley Conference opponents.
