COBLESKILL GOLF TAKES 6TH AT 2008 JAMESTOWN INVITATIONAL
The SUNY Cobleskill golf team posted a two-day total score of 680 to place sixth overall at the 2008 at the Jamestown Community College Invitational hosted by Jamestown Community College at the Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, NY on Saturday and Sunday.
The Fighting Tigers received strong scoring efforts from senior Adam VanBrocklyn, Lowville, NY, Lowville Academy, who placed twenty-first in the fifty-seven play field with a total of 160, 81/79, and senior Andy Kincaid, Horseheads, NY, Horseheads High School, who placed twenty-fourth with a two-day total of 161, 77/84, in the event. Also placing in the field for the Cobleskill were freshman Chris Neil, Henrietta, NY, Rush-Henrietta High School, who finished thirty-sixth with a score of 173, 88/85, and freshman Ken Mann, Milford, NY, Milford Academy, who placed forty-seventh oveall with a score of 186, 91/95, in the tournament.
Cobleskill will next compete at the 2008 Adirondack Community College Invitational hosted by Adirondack Community College at the Kingswood Golf Club on Saturday April 26th before returning home to host the 2008 SUNY Cobleskill/Mountain Valley Conference Invitational on Sunday April 27th at the Cobleskill Golf & Country Club.
