FIGHTING TIGER LINKSTERS PLACE FIFTH AT BROOME INVITATIONAL
This year the 2008 Broome Community College Invitational hosted by Broome Community College at the Endwell Greens Golf Club in Endwell, NY fell on the Saturday coinciding with the third round of the hallowed Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf & Country Club in Augusta, GA. Saturday is traditionally known at the Masters as “Moving Day” and moving is exactly what the SUNY Cobleskill golf team did on Saturday as the Fighting Tigers posted a team score of 356 to place fifth in a field of seven complete teams playing in the event.
Senior Andy Kincaid, Horseheads, NY, Horseheads High School, led the way for the Orange & Black firing a round of 80 to tie for tenth place overall while freshman Chris Neill, Henrietta, NY, Rush-Henrietta High School, posted a score of 84 to tie for eighteenth place on the day.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Friday April 18th when they travel to the Bartlett Country Club in Olean, NY for the 2008 Jamestown-Olean Invitational hosted by Jamestown-Olean Community College.
