WINSKI NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that freshman Joe Winski, Youngsville, NY, Sullivan West High School, a member of the college’s men’s golf team has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

Winski won the Mountain Valley Conference’s individual championship fired a tournament best round of 80 to lead the Fighting Tigers to their seventh consecutive conference title. The Fighting Tigers posted a team score of 334 to better the four-team field at the Cobleskill Golf & Country Club in Cobleskill, NY to win the tournament.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Monday May 15th when they travel to compete in the 2006 NJCAA Region III Championships to be hosted by Tompkins-Cortland Community College at the Webster East Golf Club
