COBLESKILL DROPS SEASON OPENER TO CATONSVILLE CC 19-8

The SUNY Cobleskill men’s lacrosse program dropped a 19-8 decision to Catonsville Community College in Baltimore, MD on Sunday to open the 2007 season. The contest was the Fighting Tigers first game since the program was put on hiatus for the 2006 season.

Freshman Andrew Abbott, Onondaga, NY, Onondaga High School, was an offensive force for the Fighting Tigers with five goals and two assists on the afternoon against the Cardinals.

Cobleskill will then open the home portion of the 2007 season on Saturday March 24th when they host the Cannoneers of Jefferson Community College in a NJCAA Region III contest beginning at 12:00 PM. Admission to all Fighting Tiger regular season home games is free of charge to the general public.
