HARRISON NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that freshman Don Harrison, Bronx, NY, Evander Childs High School, a member of the men’s soccer team has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

The talented rookie midfielder exploded for two goals and three assists for the Fighting Tigers on Saturday afternoon as Cobleskill defeated the visiting Cannoneers of Jefferson Community College by a 9-0 margin. The victory pushes the team’s season record to 7-5-1 on the year guaranteeing the program it’s first winning record since the 2000 season. Cobleskill is currently ranked fifth in the latest NJCAA Region III Division III Coach’s Poll.

The Fighting Tigers will close the 2005 season with road games versus Adirondack Community College on Monday October 17th and Broome Community College on Tuesday October 18th before awaiting the selection of the 2005 NJCAA Region III Division III Tournament field on Wednesday October 19th.
