FIGHTING TIGER MEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO HERKIMER CC 4-1

The SUNY Cobleskill men’s soccer team dropped their Mountain Valley Conference season opener by a 4-1 margin to Herkimer Community College in Herkimer, NY last night. The Generals were the NJCAA Division III’s number one ranked program coming into the action. The loss drops the Fighting Tiger overall season record to 1-1 on the year with a 0-1 mark in league play.

Freshman midfielder Essaha Jallow, Bronx, NY, Dewitt Clinton High School, tallied the lone Cobleskill goal unassisted in the second half to break up the Generals shutout bid.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday September 9th when they travel to Plattsburgh, NY to meet the Cougars of Clinton Community College in a Region III contest beginning at 2:00 PM
