GARDINER NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that freshman David Gardiner, Malta, NY, Ballston-Spa High School, a member of the men’s soccer program has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

The freshman midfielder played a key role in the Fighting Tigers 4-1 NJCAA Region III Division III road victory over Cayuga Community College on Wednesday in Auburn, NY contributing a goal and an assist on the afternoon. Cobleskill is currently 12-1 on the season with a 4-1 mark versus Mountain Valley Conference opponents to date and ranked fifth in the latest NJCAA Division III National Poll. 

Cobleskill will return to the turf on Wednesday October 10th when they travel to Glens Falls, NY to meet the Timberwolves of Adirondack Community College for their final Mountain Valley Conference game of the season.
