FIGHTING TIGER ALUMNUS NAMED SUNYAC

Former SUNY Cobleskill men’s soccer standout Scott Bergen, Schenectady, NY, Mohonasen High School, has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Men’s Soccer Player-of-the-Week.

Currently SUNY Fredonia’s starting goalkeeper, Bergen recorded six saves for his first shutout of the season as the Blue Devils defeated No. 15 SUNY Geneseo, 2-0, on Saturday. The victory avenged Fredonia's 1-0 loss to the Knights in last year's SUNYAC championship game. Bergen lowered his goals against average to 1.35 this fall and has eight shutouts in his career in net at Fredonia.
