SUNY COBLESKILL MEN’S SOCCER RECEIVES FORFEIT VICTORY OVER FMCC
The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has received notification from Fulton-Montgomery Community College in Johnstown, NY that the Mountain Valley Conference men’s soccer game scheduled to be played at SUNY Cobleskill on Wednesday September 19th at 4:00 PM between the two programs will be forfeited to the Fighting Tigers with the final score to be denoted as
1-0, as per NJCAA rules.
Due to player disciplinary infractions charged against Fulton-Montgomery in the team’s 7-0 road to Genesee Community College in Batavia, NY on Saturday September 17th; subsequent player suspensions, have left the Raiders unable to compete on Wednesday.
The victory gives the Fighting Tigers a 7-0 overall record with a perfect 4-0 mark versus Mountain Valley Conference opponents. Cobleskill is currently tied for first place in conference play and ranked fourth in the current NJCAA Division III National Poll.
The Orange & Black will next be in action on Friday September 21st when they host Albany College of Pharmacy at the Cobleskill Soccer Complex with kick-off scheduled for 4:00 PM.
