FIGHTING TIGER MEN’S TENNIS FALLS TO SUFFOLK CC 8-1

With inclement weather forcing the action inside the SUNY Cobleskill men’s tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to visiting NJCAA Region XV defending champion Suffolk Community College by an 8-1 margin with all matches played under a 10-point pro-set format yesterday at the Cobleskill Tennis Complex. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 2-2 on the 2006 season while Suffolk moves to 2-0 on the year.

Senior number three singles Derek Norberg, Middleburgh, NY, Middleburgh High School, notched the only victory of the day for Cobleskill winning his match by a score of 10-9. The victory pushes Norberg’s singles record to 3-1 on the season.

Cobleskill returns to action on Monday April 10th when they host NJCAA Region III powerhouse Onondaga Community College beginning at 4:00 PM at the SUNY Cobleskill Tennis Complex.
