COBLESKILL INDOOR TRACK & FIELD AT DESCHRIVER INVITATIONAL
The SUNY Cobleskill indoor track & field program continued to compete against quality four-year competition traveling to East Stroudsburg, PA on Saturday to compete in the annual DeSchriver Invitational hosted by East Stroudsburg University.
Senior distance throw Kyle Robinson, Canastota, NY, Canastota High School, turned in the program’s top performance of the meet placing seventh overall in the 35 lbs Weight Throw with a toss of 14.70 meters. The Fighting Tiger men also received respectable showings from freshman Eric Graber, Troy, NY, Lansingburgh High School, in the 500 Meters placing eighteenth in a time of 1:12.27 and from senior jumper Brian Keefe, Deposit, NY, Deposit High School, who placed seventeenth in the Triple Jump with a mark of 11.66 meters. Senior NJCAA All-American distance runner Creig Levens, Berlin, NY, Berlin High School, placed twentieth in the 5000 Meters with a time of 17:04.4.
Highlighting things for the Fighting Tiger women were freshman distance runner Sarah Furman, West Berne, NY, Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School, who placed twenty-fifth in the Mile Run with a time of 5:55.82 and freshman sprinter Kayla Evers, Oneonta, NY, Lighthouse Academy, who placed twenty-seventh in the 400 Meters with a time of 1:12.73. Freshman thrower Brianna Holcomb, Glens Falls, NY, Glens Falls High School, placed thirtieth in the Weight Throw with a mark of 10.43 meters while freshman Jennifer Villanova, Clifton Park, NY, Shenendehowa High School, placed thirty-fourth in the 55 Meters in 8.07 seconds and thirty-second in the 200 Meters at 29.80 seconds.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action when the travel to Ithaca, NY over the weekend competing at the Cornell University Pentathlon Meet on Friday February 9th then on Saturday February 10th competing at Kane Invitational also hosted by Cornell University. |
