COBLESKILL INDOOR TRACK & FIELD OPENS SEMESTER AT KUTZTOWN STATE INVITATIONAL
The SUNY Cobleskill indoor track & field program opened the New Year traveling to Kutztown, PA for the Kutztown State University Invitational on Friday January 13th. The Fighting Tigers were the only two-year program in the non-scoring meet.
The Fighting Tiger throwers turned in the team’s most impressive performances of the meet as senior Stephanie Schumann, Washingtonville, NY, Washingtonville High School, pick up seventh place finishes in the Weight Throw, 33’7”, and the Shot Put, 31’3”, while on the men’s side of the meet freshman Kyle Robinson, Canastota, NY, Canastota High School, took home a sixth place finish in the Weight Throw, 36’7”, and an eleventh place finish in the Shot Put, 36’10”.
Cobleskill also excelled in the jumps as senior Eric Adjepong, Wallkill, NY, Wallkill High School, placed seventh in the Long Jump, 19’ 9 ¼”, and freshman Brian Morrisey, Cortland Manor, NY, Hendrick Hudson High School, placed seventh in the Triple Jump, 10.90 meters.
On the track senior Dan Laube, Chittenango, NY, Chittenango High School, turned in the top performance of the meet placing eleventh in the 500 Meters with a time of 1:16.76.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Sunday January 22nd when they travel to Delhi Tech in Delhi, NY for a mini-meet geared around the field events. |
