SCHUMANN NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that senior Stephanie Schumann, Washingtonville, NY, Washingtonville High School, a member of the women’s track & field program has been named Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

Schumann qualified for the NJCAA Division III National Championship meet in the Hammer Throw at the with a toss of 26.96 meters at the season opening 2006 Snowflake Invitational on Saturday hosted by Northeastern University in Dedham, MA. Schumann placed 21st in the event for the Fighting Tigers in the non-scoring qualifying meet.

The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday April 1st when they travel to the Trinity College Invitational hosted by Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
