COBLESKILL’S LEVENS EARNS NJCAA ALL-AMERICAN HONORS AT THE 2006 NJCAA DIVISION III OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
SUNY Cobleskill freshman distance runner Creig Levens, Berlin, NY, Berlin High School, placed second in the 10,000 Meter Run at the 2006 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field National Championships hosted by Erie Community College in Orchard Park, NY last night. Levens’ effort earned him NJCAA All-American honors as the talented frosh posted batted the rain and wind off Lake Erie to post a personal best time of 33:25.29 to become the Fighting Tigers fourth runner to earn NJCAA All-American honors at the 10,000 meter distance since the inception of divisional competition in track & field by the association in 1997.
A major in Cobleskill’s Physical Education/Recreation/Sports Studies program, Levens was a high school standout at Berlin High School in Berlin, NY in track & field and cross country. This past fall Levens earned NJCAA Third Team All-American honors at the 2005 NJCAA Division III National Cross Country Championships hosted by Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua, NY. |
