The SUNY Cobleskill Department of Sport & Exercise announced today that sophomore Winston Lee, Hudson, N.Y., Hudson High School, the department's 2015 Stanley Nevin's Outstanding Male Athlete Award winner for his accomplishments during 2014-15 academic year. Lee is a member of the Fighting Tiger men's indoor and outdoor track & field teams and received the honor at the college's 2015 Athletic Awards Convocation. This marks the second consecutive year the Hudson, N.Y. native was honored with the awards.
 
The talented sprinter became the first athlete in SUNY Cobleskill athletic program history to win a NCAA National Championship taking the title and earning All-American honors for the second consecutive year when he won the 60-meter dash at the 2015 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. During the season the freshman speedster won the 2014 New York State College Track & Field Conference (NYSCTC) Indoor Championship in the 60-meter dash to earn a spot on the All-NYSCTC Team then won the event at the 2015 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships for the second consecutive season to earn All-ECAC Division III Team honors. He also set the SUNY Cobleskill record in a time of 6.73 seconds.
 
During the outdoor season the Hudson High School alumnus earned NCAA Division III All-American honors in the 100-meter dash placing fifth in the nation with a program record time of 10.33 seconds. He also captured NYSCTC Championships in the 100-meters and the 200-meters setting a program record in the latter with a time of 21.65 seconds while also earning All-ECAC honors in each event at the league's 2015 Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
 
Based on his performances throughout the year, the Hudson, N.Y. native was named the men's track & field team's 2015 Most Valuable Performer this season.
 
Named in honor of former Fighting Tiger Head Lacrosse/Wrestling/Cross Country Coach Stanley Nevins, the award is presented annually to the Cobleskill male athlete whose career has been deemed by the college's athletic staff to be the most outstanding of all male student/athletes in the program.
