FIGHTING TIGER FALL TO MOHAWK VALLEY 66-56 IN MVC CONTEST
In a meeting of NJCAA nationally ranked programs the SUNY Cobleskill women’s basketball team fell to number three ranked Mohawk Valley Community College by a 66-56 margin in Utica, NY last night. The Fighting Tigers fall to 12-2 on the season with a 3-1 mark in Mountain Valley Conference play. Cobleskill had been ranked ninth in the latest NJCAA National Poll.
The Fighting Tigers led 36-34 at intermission but could not hold the lead despite 16 points from NJCAA senior All-American forward Dee Dee Smith, Monticello, NY, Redemption Christian Academy. Cobleskill also get 14 points from senior center Crystal Ferrer, Bronx, NY, Redemption Christian Academy, and 12 points from freshman guard Erinn O’Rourke, South Glens Falls, NY, South Glens Falls High School.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Thursday January 19th when they travel to Glens Falls, NY to meet the Timberwolves of Adirondack Community College for a Mountain Valley Conference game scheduled to tip-off at 6:00 PM.
