MCMILLEN NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK
The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that senior Kim McMillen, Greenville, NY, Greenville High School, a member of the women’s basketball team has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.
The 5’10” power forward led the Fighting Tigers to victories over visiting Generals of Herkimer Community College 59-49 in overtime then helped the team claim a 57-49 road win over the Red Barons of Corning Community College on Saturday in Corning, NY. McMillen contributed 16 points and nine rebounds, including four points and three rebounds in the overtime period, in the win over Herkimer then notched a double/double in the win versus Corning scoring a career high 22 points to go with 10 rebound. McMillen was the team’s leading scorer in both games for Fighting Tigers who start the season with a perfect 3-0 record overall including a 1-0 mark versus Mountain Valley Conference competition.
Cobleskill returns to action on Tuesday November 14th when they travel to Canandaigua, NY to meet the Lakers of Finger Lakes Community College in a non-conference contest with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 PM.
