FIGHTING TIGER WOMEN DEFEATED BY DEAN JUNIOR COLLEGE 70-68
The SUNY Cobleskill women’s basketball team suffered their first loss of the season Saturday evening dropping a 70-68 decision to Dean Junior College in the opening round of the Cayuga Community College Holiday Invitational hosted by Cayuga Community College in Auburn, NY. The Fighting Tigers trailed 38-23 at the half and could not over come the 15 point deficit during a frantic second half rally to fall to 4-1 on the season.
Senior guard/forward Kim Stahl, Scotia, NY, Scotia-Glenville High School, led the Fighting Tigers with 25 points in the contest while senior power forward Kim McMillen, Greenville, NY, Greenville High School, chipped in 17 points and 15 rebounds.
The Fighting Tigers will face the host Spartans of Cayuga Community College in the tournament’s consolation round on Sunday November 19th at 12:00 PM. Cayuga dropped a 61-58 decision to Hudson Valley Community College in their opening round contest.
