DANIELS NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that freshman Sharee Daniels, Poughkeepsie, NY, FD Roosevelt High School, a member of the women’s basketball team has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.

The 5’8” forward led the team to the championship of the 2007 Spartan Holiday Tournament hosted by Cayuga Community College in Auburn, NY over the weekend. Daniels averaged 14.5 points per game as the Fighting Tigers breezed to the title by dismantling the Panthers of Tompkins-Cortland Community College 79-48 on Saturday then captured the title versus the host Spartans of Cayuga Community College on Sunday by a 76-45 margin. The Fighting Tigers are currently ranked twelfth in the latest NJCAA Division III National Poll with a 6-0 overall record including a perfect 1-0 mark in Mountain Valley Conference play.
