MCMILLEN NAMED FIGHTING TIGER ATHLETE-OF-THE-WEEK
The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department announced today that senior Kim McMillen, Greenville, NY, Greenville High School, a member of the women’s basketball program has been named the athletic program’s Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week.
The 5’10” center averaged 16.0 points and 10.0 rebounds per game as the Fighting Tigers posted three road victories during the week defeating Mountain Valley Conference rivals Delhi Tech in Delhi, NY 64-38 on Tuesday and Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY on Wednesday 74-56 before traveling to Franklin, MA on Saturday to defeat Division II Dean Junior College 55-54. During the regular season McMillen averaged 14.6 points and 10.1 rebounds per contest while shooting 50.3% from the field.
The Fighting Tigers closed the regular season with a 22-6 overall record including a 13-3 mark in Mountain Valley Conference play and have been seeded fourth for the 2007 NJCAA Region III Division III Tournament hosted by Cayuga Community College in Auburn, NY from Friday March 2nd thru Sunday March 4th. Cobleskill will meet the number five seeded Generals of Herkimer Community College on Friday March 2nd at 3:00 PM.
