COBLESKILL SOFTBALL DROPS ROAD DOUBLEHEADER TO MVCC

The SUNY Cobleskill softball team ended Mountain Valley Conference play on Wednesday afternoon in Utica, NY by dropping a doubleheader to Mohawk Valley Community College by scores of 16-1 and 18-0. The losses drop the Fighting Tigers season record to 7-11 overall and close out the conference campaign with a 6-6 mark.

The lone bright spot for the Cobleskill on the afternoon was freshman first baseman Casey Kelly, Walton, NY, Walton High School, who had a pair of hits in the first game for the Orange & Black.

Cobleskill will next host the Cougars of Holyoke Community College on Saturday May 3rd at Fighting Tiger Field beginning at 1:00 PM before traveling to Saranac Lake, NY on Sunday to meet the Saints of North Country Community College in the 2008 season finale beginning at 1:00 PM.
