BOARDMAN NAMED SUNY COBLESKILL WOMEN’S SOFTBALL MOST VALUABLE PLAYER

SUNY Cobleskill women’s softball team member freshman Sheri Boardman, Sheffield, MA, Housatonic High School, has been named the program’s Most Valuable Player for the 2007 season. Boardman received her award at college’s 2008 Athletic Awards Convocation.

The Fighting Tiger number one pitcher posted a 3-9 overall record for the Orange & Black this season with a 4.65 ERA as Cobleskill posted a 7-11 overall record with a 6-6 mark in Mountain Valley Conference play. Boardman also went 7-for-26 at the plate this season for a .269 batting average.
