Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has announced that junior Emma Hinze (Altenburg, Mo.) and junior Kathleen Smart (Nashville, Tenn.) have been selected as the Fighting Tiger Athletes of the Week for the period ending October 26, 2025.

Hinze led the Tigers to a perfect 2-0 NAC weekend, extending their win streak to four matches. She opened the weekend with a dominant all-around effort in Cobleskill's five-set victory over VTSU-Johnson, recording a match-high 14 kills, four aces, and 11 digs for 18 total points while hitting .286. Hinze followed that up with seven kills, a season-high six service aces, and 10 digs in the Tigers' sweep of VTSU-Lyndon. For the week, the junior outside hitter totaled 21 kills, 21 digs, and 10 aces while posting a .139 attack percentage.

Smart also made a major impact for the Tigers, turning in a standout performance in the win over Johnson with eight kills, two aces, and a game-high (season-high)  23 digs. She added six kills, nine digs, two assists, and two aces in the victory over Lyndon to help Cobleskill close out a strong weekend of conference play.
