The freshman sprinter the women’s team’s top performer at the 2016 New York State College Track Conference (NYSCTC) Outdoor Championships hosted over the weekend by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) at Harkness Field in Troy, N.Y. Kourouma placed fifth overall in the 400-meter dash in a time of 59.17 seconds to earn All-NYSCTC Team honors and in the process meeting the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Championship Qualifying Standard.

Kourouma will next be in action at the 2016 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships to be hosted by the hosted by Westfield State College in Westfield, Mass. on Wednesday May 18 and Thursday May19.
