Athletic Communications

The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Communications department manages media and public relations for all Fighting Tigers NCAA Division III varsity sports, competing as part of the North Atlantic Conference, State University of New York Athletic Conference, Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association, and Eastern College Athletic Conference. Our team provides comprehensive coverage and media support for each varsity athletic program, overseeing all media relations for student-athletes, coaches, and staff. This includes maintaining the athletics website, compiling event statistics, and distributing press releases. We are also responsible for promotional materials, historical records, and photography for the department.

  Media Policies

Media Credentials
Credentials are required for working media members covering SUNY Cobleskill events. Requests should be made with the appropriate sport contact at least 24 hours before the event.

Player/Coach Interviews
All interviews with Cobleskill coaches, student-athletes, or staff must be arranged through the Athletic Communications Department. Do not directly contact any student-athletes or coaches without contacting the Athletic Communication Department. Post-game interviews can be conducted outside locker rooms or on the playing surface after a brief 10-minute cooling-off period. Locker rooms remain off-limits.

Practices
Cobleskill practices are closed to media unless prior permission has been granted. Please contact the Athletic Communications office at least 24 hours in advance to request practice access.

Locker Rooms
All Cobleskill locker rooms are closed to media during home and away games.

Photographers/Videographers
All photographers and videographers should maintain a distance of at least 10 feet from the playing surface and use designated shooting positions. Flash photography is not permitted. Photographers must comply with NCAA rules, policies and procedures.
