Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has named second-year setter Baylee Kirschberg (Lindenhurst, NY) of the women’s volleyball team as the Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week for the period ending September 22, 2024.
Kirschberg played a pivotal role in the team's 1-1 showing at their home tri-match, leading the Fighting Tigers to a 3-1 victory over Keuka College. She posted a team-high 31 assists, six digs, two service aces, one kill, and a .333 hitting percentage. In the team’s earlier match against Skidmore College, she recorded 21 assists and five digs.
For the week, Kirschberg totaled 52 assists, 11 digs, two kills, two service aces, and a .417 hitting percentage over two matches.
The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Friday, September 27, when they travel to MCLA for a non-conference match starting at 6:00 p.m. in North Adams, MA.
