Cobleskill, NY – The SUNY Cobleskill Athletic Department has announced that junior Hannah Bonczkowski (Gilbertsville, NY) and freshman MJ Ford (Staten Island, NY) have been named the Fighting Tiger Athletes of the Week for the period ending January 24, 2026.
Bonczkowski led the Tigers to a 71-37 road North Atlantic Conference victory at SUNY Delhi, pouring in a season-high 17 points. The junior guard was efficient throughout the night, shooting 6-of-10 from the field, 3-of-5 from three-point range, and 2-of-2 at the free-throw line. She also contributed four rebounds, two steals, and a block, making an impact on both ends of the floor in the conference win.
Ford provided a defining performance in Cobleskill’s 97-88 double-overtime comeback win at rival Delhi, showcasing poise and shot-making in crucial moments. The freshman poured in 38 points, adding six rebounds, three assists, and two steals while shooting 12-of-20 from the field and 11-of-13 at the free-throw line. He came up big late, hitting a game-tying three with 11 seconds remaining in overtime to force a second overtime before scoring eight points in the final period to seal the victory.
