Sophomore women’s swimmer Katherine Noncarrow (Allendale, N.J./Northern Highland Regional) has been named the Fighting Tiger Athlete of the Week for the week ending on January 26th.
Noncarrow was one of the Fighting Tigers top performers as they defeated Gallaudet University 161-83 over the weekend. The Allendale, N.J. native won three individual events in their victory. She captured wins in the 1000-yard freestyle (12:10.30), the 200-yard butterfly (2:29.29) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:58.37). Her time of 12:10.30 in the 1000-yard freestyle broke her own personal record and is the third all-time fastest time in program history.
The talented sophomore was also an instrumental part of the winning 400-yard medley relay team that finished in a time of 4:59.50, marking her fourth overall win for the dual meet.
Cobleskill will return to the pool on Saturday, February 1st, for the 2020 Vassar Sprint Invitational hosted by the Brewers at the college's Kresge Pool beginning at 1:00 p.m.
