The sophomore multi-event athlete was the women’s indoor track & field team’s top performer at the 2013 Ithaca Quadrangular Meet hosted by Ithaca College at the Ithaca College Athletic Events Center in Ithaca, N.Y. over the weekend. Barnes posted three New York State College Track Conference (NYSCTC) Indoor Championship provisional qualifying efforts at the event meeting the NYSCTC  provisional standards in: the in the 400-meter dash winning the event in a time of 1:02.45 and in the high jump by winning the event title with a leap of 4’ 9 ¼”. She also met the league’s provisional qualifying mark in the 60-meter hurdles finishing eighth overall in a time of 10.59 seconds. This marks the second time this indoor season the Cohoes, N.Y. native has earned Fighting Tiger Athlete-of-the-Week honors.
