The senior mid-distance runner was the Fighting Tigers top individual performer at the 2013 New York State College Track Conference (NYSCTC) Indoor Championships hosted by Ithaca College at the Ithaca College Athletics & Events Center in Ithaca, N.Y. over the weekend. Peterson met the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Championship Qualifying Standard in the 800-meter run finishing second in a time of 1:56.06 to establish a new program record in the event and earn All-NEAC Team honors.
