The talented sophomore led the Fighting Tigers to a second place finish at the 2013-14 North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Cazenovia College in Cazenovia, N.Y. over the weekend. Degnan won three individual event championships to earn First Team All-NEAC honors in each as the second year performer won the: 200-yard butterfly in 2:24.42, the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:41.80 and the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 19:52.95. The Guilderland native also earned Third Team All-NEAC honors in the 400-yard freestyle relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay where Cobleskill posted third place finishes in each event with times of 4:11.73 and 9:12.87 respectively.

Led by Degnan the Fighting Tigers posted a team score of 415 points to place second in a field of six teams at the championship meet which is the program’s highest finish since the NEAC added swimming & diving as a conference sport in 2009-10.
