Geneva, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's swimming & diving easily outdistanced North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Cazenovia College 143.5-to-50.5 in a meet hosted by William Smith College on Saturday afternoon. With the win the Fighting Tigers move to 4-2 overall in head-to-head competition on the season to date.
Cobleskill was impressive at the event as the Fighting Tigers claimed wins in seven outright individual events and both relays on the afternoon. The team's balance was in evidence as seven different team members posted wins as: sophomore
Brian Alt, Barker, N.Y., Barker High School, won the 200-yard backstroke in 2:14.43, senior
Connor Worden, New Bedford, Mass., Bristol Agricultural High School, took the 500-yard freestyle in 5:56.02, freshman
Kirk Bailey, Rose, N.Y., North Rose-Wolcott High School, won one-meter diving with 134.60 points, freshman
Anthony McGorsik, East Hampton, N.Y., East Hampton High School, won the 1000-yard freestyle in 11:36.21, sophomore
Nathan Kreher, Clarence, N.Y., Clarence High School, won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:03.44, sophomore
Nolan Graziano, Rhinebeck, N.Y., Rhinebeck High School, took the 200-yard individual medley in 2:14.43 and freshman
Ryan Schwab, North Java, N.Y., Pioneer High School, was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.33 seconds.
Nolan Graziano also tied for first place in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:30.23 at the meet.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday November 22 when they travel to Cazenovia College to face the Wildcats beginning at 1:00 p.m.
