Utica, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's swimming & diving team split a pair of decisions at a triangular meet hosted by Utica College on Saturday afternoon. The Fighting Tigers defeated the host Pioneers by a score of 137-114 but lost Nazareth College by a 211-76 margin. With the split the Fighting Tigers are now 9-3 overall on the season to date versus head-to-head competition.
Sophomore
Nolan Graziano, Rhinebeck, N.Y., Rhinebeck High School, was the catalyst for the team's success at the meet as the talented second-year performer won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:12.45, took second place in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:31.10 and placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:08.29. Cobleskill also received a strong outing from freshman
Ryan Schwab, North Java, N.Y., Pioneer High School, who placed second in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:58.82 and third in the 100-yard butterfly in 59.64 seconds.
The Orange & Black will next be in action on Sunday January 25 when the team's divers will compete at the 2015 Dick Comanzo Diving Invitational hosted by Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y. beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Bombers Athletics & Events Center.
