Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's swimming & diving team opened the 2015-16 season in dramatic fashion on Saturday winning the meets final event, the 200-yard freestyle relay, to post an exciting 100-93 victory over the visiting Raptors of Bard College at the Bouck Hall Natatorium. The Fighting Tigers also won six individual event victories to secure the win.
As they took the deck for the final event the Cobleskill 200-yard freestyle relay team of: sophomore
Anthony McGorsik, East Hampton, N.Y., East Hampton High School, freshman
Mike Girolamo, Waverly, N.Y., Waverly High School, freshman
Sam Datri, Ravena, N.Y., Raven-Coeymans-Selkirk High School and sophomore
Will Timony, Warwick, N.Y., Warwick High School, we looking at a deadlocked meet. However the talented quartet quickly decided the issue as the Fighting Tigers foursome posted a time of 1:36.84 to win going away.

Sam Datri were also important individually as Timony captured the 50-yard freestyle in 23.41 seconds and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:00.72 while Datri won both one-meter diving events with scores of 156.06 points and 249.07 points.
Anthony McGorsik was also a double winner for the team taking the 200-yard freestyle in 2:00.84 and the 100-yard freestyle in 54.37 seconds.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Saturday October 31
st when they host the Saxons of Alfred University at the Bouck Hall Natatorium beginning at 1:00 p.m.
