Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's swimming & diving team came out on the losing end of a 134-89 decision to the Pioneers of Alfred State College on Saturday afternoon at the Bouck Hall Natatorium. The loss drops the Fighting Tigers to 1-1 versus head-to-head competition while the Pioneers move to 1-0 on the season to date.

Sam Datri, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, was the high point of the meet for the Orange & Black as the talented rookie captured both sections of the one-meter diving winning the first section with a score of 161.50 points then took the second section with a score of 265.90 points. With his 11-dive performance Datri met the NCAA Division III Regional Championship Qualifying Standard with a new program 11-dive record mark of 427.40 points.
Cobleskill also received individual event victories from sophomore
Anthony McGorsik, East Hampton, N.Y., East Hampton High School, in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:58.14 and from sophomore
Will Timony, Warwick, N.Y., Warwick High School, in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:00.20.
The Fighting Tigers will be in action on Saturday November 7
th when they travel to Bronxville, N.Y. for a double dual meet hosted by the Gryphons of Sarah Lawrence College along with the Dolphins of the College of Mount Saint Vincent beginning at 1:30 p.m.
