Washington, D.C.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's swimming & diving team continued to flex their muscles versus North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) opponent this weekend at a triangular meet hosted by the Bison of Gallaudet University on Saturday afternoon. The Fighting Tigers easily defeated the host Bison by a 170-64 margin while defeating The Express of Wells College by a score of 160-88. With the wins the Fighting Tigers close out the 2015 portion of their schedule with a 5-2 record versus head-to-head competition.
On the afternoon the Orange & Black posted victories in 14-of-15 events at the meet lead by sophomore
Will Timony, Warwick, N.Y., Warwick High School, who captured the: 50-yard freestyle in 23.97 seconds, the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.98 and the 100-yard butterfly in 58.92 seconds.
Cobleskill also received a double wins from: freshman
Sam Datri, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:11.41 and one-meter diving with 184.30 points, freshman
Mike Girolamo, Waverly, N.Y., Waverly High School, in the 100-yard freestyle in 54.24 seconds and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:44.42 and from freshman
Mick Fryer, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, in the 100-yard breaststroke in 2:40.49 and the 200-yard individual medley in 2:26.58.
The Fighting Tigers will next return to action on Saturday January 16
th when they host Utica College at the Bouck Hall Natatorium beginning at 1:00 p.m.
