Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's swimming and diving team closed the semester by running their current winning streak to five events as the Fighting Tigers posted a 121-82 victory over host Bard College on Saturday afternoon. The victory improves Cobleskill to 5-2 overall on the season versus opponents in head-to-head competition.
Junior
Anthony McGorsik, East Hampton, N.Y., East Hampton High School, led the attack for the visitors winning the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 23.84 seconds and the 100-yard freestyle with a mark of 53.20 seconds.
The team also received individual event wins in the pool from sophomore
Mike Girolamo, Waverly, N.Y., Waverly High School, who posted a time of 5:46.54 to take the event and from freshman
Jon Feil, Guilderland, N.Y., Guilderland High School, who won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:13.50.
Sophomore diver
Sam Datri, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, also had a major impact on the meet winning the One Meter Diving with a new 11-dive program record of 450.59 points.
The Fighting Tigers will return to action after the break on Saturday January 14
th when they travel to Cazenovia College in Cazenovia, N.Y. for a dual meet beginning at 1:00 p.m. Â
