Cazenovia, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's swimming & diving team returned to action from their winter break hiatus on Saturday afternoon by easily outdistancing the host Wildcats of Cazenovia College by a score of 167-42. The victory improves the Fighting Tigers to 6-2 overall on the season versus head-to-head competition.
Sophomore diver
Sam Datri, Ravena, N.Y., Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School, was the highlight of the competition for the Orange & Black winning the One-Meter Diving event with an 11-dive total of 432.30 points to meet the NCAA National Qualifying Standard for the second time this season to automatically qualify for the NCAA Division III Regional Diving Championship Meet for the second consecutive season.
Cobleskill also received an event win in the 50-yard butterfly from junior
Joslen Pettit, Gloversville, N.Y., Gloversville High School, who posted a winning time of 28.82 seconds.
The Fighting Tigers will next be in action on Tuesday January 17
th when they host Elms College at the Bouck Hall Natatorium beginning at 4:00 p.m.
