Cobleskill, N.Y.: The SUNY Cobleskill men's swimming & diving team won a pair of decisions at a double dual meet hosted by the Fighting Tigers at the Bouck Hall Natatorium on Saturday afternoon. Cobleskill won a 108-44 decision over Red Hawks of Roberts Wesleyan College while posting a 116-85 decision over The Express of Wells College. With the victories the Fighting Tigers improve to 5-3 overall on the season to date.
Junior Dan Mullen, Oswego, N.Y., Mexico High School, led the way for Cobleskill individually winning: the 1000-yard freestyle in 11:39.34 and the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:10.06 while freshman
Zachary Walters, West Seneca, N.Y., West Seneca High School, won the 50-yard butterfly in 57.13 seconds, and the 200-yard freestyle in 2:01.47.
Mullen and Walters also teamed up with freshman
Christopher Sypherett, Laurelton, N.Y., John Browne High School, and freshman
Kashaun Nicholas, Queens, N.Y., John Browne High School, to win the 200-yard freestyle relay in a time of 1:53.97.
The Fighting Tigers will return to action when they travel to Allentown, Pa. for the 2019 Falcon Invitational hosted by Cedar Crest College on Saturday December 7
th and Sunday December 8
th.
