Plattsburgh, N.Y. – The SUNY Cobleskill men's cross country team battled through a competitive field to earn a 10th-place team finish at the 2025 SUNYAC Men's Cross Country Championship, hosted by Plattsburgh State on Saturday at the Ruger Woods 8K course.
In a bit of a homecoming, senior
Nik Recore (Peru, N.Y.) led the way for the Fighting Tigers, placing 21st overall with a time of 27:35.3. Recore established himself among the leaders early, coming through the 2,650-meter mark in 11th and holding a strong position through the middle stages of the race before closing out inside the top 25.
Senior
Jacob Rhinesmith (Somerset, N.J.) continued his steady season, finishing 68th in 29:50.0, while junior
Michael Jocz (Syracuse, N.Y.) came through in 31:48.8 to place 90th.
David Kogan (Brooklyn, N.Y.) followed closely behind in 93rd at 33:00.9, and junior
Antonio Gonzalez (Niskayuna, N.Y.) rounded out Cobleskill's scoring five in 94th with a time of 33:19.1.

The Fighting Tigers will return to action on Friday, November 15, when they travel to Rochester, N.Y. for the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional Invitational.
