Marquay Tanksley (Cohoes, NY) has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week for the week ending February 9, 2025. This marks the second time the dynamic combo guard has earned the honor this season.
Tanksley put together a standout performance in Cobleskill's road win at Lesley University, dropping a career-high 22 points on 7-of-12 shooting. He was efficient from beyond the arc (2-of-4) and nearly automatic at the free-throw line (6-of-7). Making his presence felt on both ends, he added five rebounds, a block, and a steal, showcasing his versatility and impact in the victory.
The Fighting Tigers return to action on Friday, February 14, when they host VTSU-Johnson in a NAC divisional matchup at 7:30 p.m. in the Iorio Gymnasium.
