New Haven, CT: The SUNY Cobleskill women's golf team opened their spring season on Tuesday afternoon with a nine-hole match play contest against Albertus Magnus College at the New Haven Country Club, falling by a 4-0 margin on a windy day.

Lily Tobin (Kendall, NY) battled back from an early deficit in her match against Gabriella Dellacroce. After falling two down through the first two holes, Tobin evened the match by the sixth hole before Dellacroce secured the win on the ninth.

Isabella Keilbach (Great Neck, NY/Great Neck South) kept her match close against Molly Martin before falling 2&1.

Newcomers Baylee Kirschberg (Lindenhurst, NY) and Maya Cardenas-Powell (Portland, OR/Aloha) each made their collegiate debut in the match. Kirschberg dropped her match 4&3, while Cardenas-Powell fell 5&4.

The Fighting Tigers return to action on Sunday, April 13, at the Sea Gull Invitational hosted by Green Hill Country Club in Quantico, Maryland.
